Samuel Ryder Lodge meet at Ashwell House in St Albans 4 times a year, these meetings happen on Saturday mornings or Friday Evenings.
Our Meetings consist of, like every other Lodge, a structured gathering that blend administrative business with ritualistic tradition. A standard meeting is often divided into three distinct parts: a formal business session where routine matters like approving minutes, and planning charitable events are handled; a ceremonial component focused on conferring Masonic Degrees (Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason) through allegorical plays; and a "festive board," which is a social meal shared by members afterward. Guided by principles of Brotherly Love, Relief and truth, these meetings emphasize personal moral growth and community service while strictly prohibiting the discussion of religion or politics to maintain harmony among diverse members.
